Sant'Apollinare Country
House, situated in the wooded hills surrounding Cantiano, is the perfect starting
point for naturalistic trekking excursions in the nearby Bosco di Tecchie (WWF Oasis,
Italy) or for horseback riding on the Monte Catria Massif, or excursions to the numerous
roman epoch archaelogical sites along the ancient Flaminian consular route in search of
traditional dishes based on mushrooms, game meats and truffles, considered by specialists
to be among the best in Italy.
Cantiano is the perfect destination for those in search
of a vacation that combines the interest for culture with a love for nature. Cantiano was
an important fortified centre of the Urbino Duchy and today, conserves a medieval
architectural patrimony in its streets, buildings and churches.
