The history of the place is told by its inhabitants through the Art of
cooking traditional dishes using local products.
Monte Murano mushrooms in olive oil (Funghi
del Monte Murano all’olio) for example is one of the dishes meant to
best exploit the products the earth offers to enchant those who arrive at Ristorante Le Copertelle.
Il Calcione di Serra San
Quirico is enumerated among the starters. It is made audaciously combing
flour, eggs, pecorino cheese and lemon.
Lately it has been decided to make the smoked trout (Trota
del Sentino affumicata) part of the Menu again. The trout abounds in
fact in the rivers nearby.
The delicious and rich side dishes such as herbs embody the art of using
the scented fruits of the earth to make risotto, pappardelle, ravioli and
polenta simply wonderful.
The river prawn soup (Zuppa di
gamberi di fiume), comprehended in the Menù di Fiume, is an other
invention of Felice.
He is the artist that makes such precious dishes served in Ristorante Le
Copertelle. He is a proud narrator of the resources of the land he inhabits.
He works just for the satisfaction of his guests.
The Organic Menù (Menù
Biologico) couldn’t be missed.
Herbs, spelt pasta, lentils,
potatoes and meat are all enriched by a rosemary scent.
A truffle Menù (Menù al tartufo)
is always served in Felice’s restaurant. His delicious cakes, don’t end
the pleasure of the dinner.
The discovery trip meant to make the local products known continues in fact
with sapa, ricotta cheese and wood berries.
Le Copertelle offers cosy bedrooms overlooked by arches for those who
arrived in Serra San Quirico. The village is rich in legends and real
history.
In the morning the guest can decide whether to leave or to go to the Murano
Mount in search of mushrooms with Felice.
