Frescina spa
This welcoming complex in the village of Frescina, in the municipality of Cagli in
the heart of the Urbino Duchy, is the ideal spot for a different vacation.
Our guest sojourn either in old cottages which dot the green marchigiana fields, or
in a modern health spa for those who are in search of relaxing physical
activity to restore mind and spirit in carefree tranquillity.
The Frescina spa was built following careful restoration of an old, private estate
on a typical marchigiana farm dating back to the late 1800s. The estate now hosts
twenty-five comfortable rooms (either double or triple) for a total of 60 guests, all with
private bathrooms and television. The adjacent covered areas offer Technogym equipment for
cardio-fitness training (world leader in this field), a sauna, hydro massage pool,
solarium, mud therapy, pressure-therapy, and physiotherapy facilities.
In addition, aesthetic treatments and massage are available, and there is always
dietician on the premises. During the summer months, the guests can enjoy a large outdoor
pool (20 x 40 metres) immersed in the natural landscape and filled with sulphuric water
piped directly to the pool from a spring which is about 2 kilometres away; this pool is
ideal for children in need of bathing in this healthy water and for stimulating the
circulatory system by walking in the pool.
For those who love sports, there is a 10 hectare park with soccer fields, volley
ball courts and playgrounds for the children. The refined restaurant offers a carefully
prepared menu rich in local specialities: home-made pasta dishes and tasty meats and
vegetables produced on the owner's farm. All year long, delicious local mushrooms and
truffles are available.
