Alma organizes mountain hikes during which mushrooms can be collected. She
also allows guests to help her in agriculture works.
She will also offer a taste of the local delicacies.
She
is then ready to give advice on tours and has maps and guides for the
guests who want to discover the territory.
The Adriatic Coast is just a 30km drive off and is within easy reach from
the country house thanks to the motorway.
The Mount Conero and the crystal clears waters that wash Portonovo, Sirolo
and Numana are not far from Civitanova Marche. They are in fact close to
Ancona.
The
Apennine mountains and the Natural Park of the Sibillini mountains are at
the same distance from the small and enchanting village of Loro
Piceno.
Sarnano skiing resort (well known in all the county) is within easy reach.
A 25km drive would in fact ensure a pleasant day spent skiing. There
is nothing to envy to the alpine resorts.
Canoa can be practiced in the lakes around Loro Piceno. There
are also several parachuting schools on the mountains nearby.
Tennis
and golf courts, riding schools (5km from Loro Piceno) and even thermal
baths (Tolentino) are just a short way from Loro Piceno. The beautiful
university city of Macerata is then rich in facilities and entertainment.
Urbs
Salvia, an archaeological park dating back to the roman times is not to be
missed. It
is in fact one of the best preserved and probably the biggest in all the
county.
The place is a tribute to ancient deeds, it is pervaded by an epic
atmosphere. The visitor can feel the oblivion of the centuries grasping
him.
How to
get there
Driving
along the A14 highway exit at Macerata-Civitanova and take the
Civitanova-Foligno motorway.
Exit at Macerata Ovest driving towards Sarnano along the SS 78. Then
follow the signals to Loro Piceno.
Driving
along the A1 – exit at Orte towards Terni, Spoleto, Foligno.
Drive
then through the SS 77 and take the motorway in direction A14 Bologna-Bari.
Exit then at Macerata Ovest and drive towards Sarnano along the SS78 and
follow the signals to Loro Piceno.
