The complex is located on the hillside of Mount
Paganuccio, a natural reserve located between the Apennine range and the Adriatic Coast,
and very close to the naturalistic "Gola del Furlo" canyon and the ancient S.
Vincent's Abbey which dates back to the year 1000.
From the parsonage there are ancient pathways leading through the woods and green
fields to the high plains of Mount Paganuccio where the visitor can enjoy an stupendous
panoramas. Mr. Belli also owns a large farm which covers over one hundred hectares of
woods, meadows and cultivated fields.
The farm produces and sells typical local products: vegetables, legumes and wine
produced from the grapes gathered from a well maintaned vineyard.
You can also buy fragrant truffles, or even hunt for them in a large artificially
created truffle "farm" on the grounds.
During the autumn season, we suggest that you discover, together with the owner and
his trusted dogs, the secrets of the mysterious world of the truffles in this well
maintain is among the best in the world for the propagation of this most fragrant tuber.
S.Silvestro is located in the ancient lands of
the Urbino Duchy and so, excursions to the cities of art are not to be missed: Urbino,
Gubbio, and other, less known, minor cities like Cagli, Mondavio, Fossombrone and the
Frontone Castle. For those who enjoy mountain biking, we suggest a pleasant excursion into
the small villages in the surrounding hills like Tarugo, Montescatto, and the tiny village
pf la Torricella, where the famous bronze statues of cartoceto were found in the 1950s.
The complesx is surrounded by gardens and a patio for relaxing moments.
Inside, there is a large room with fireplace and a functional, well-equipped
kitchen that opens onto the garden, perfect for small groups that want to spend a carefree
week-end in the country. This lovely cottage, furnished with period pieces and refined
accessories offers many opportunities for relaxing moments in a welcoming cavation
complex.
